Email Automation is a God Send
Do you make the most out of an email automation system? What even is an email automation system?
Building an email list is one of the easiest ways to reach out and engage with your audience and should be an integrated part of your digital marketing strategy.
There are so many things to consider when building your email marketing campaign. First make sure the supplier that you go with supports email automation. Many of them charge for it so while you are still building your business and your list you should take full advantage of the ones that offer it for free. ActiveCampaign is the provider that I personally use. I have tried a few others but for integrations, ease and value I find this the best option.
Make sure you have a lead capture that people want to download. There is no point offering something that no one wants to giveaway their email address for. This can be a PDF download that adds value to those people, it can be an ebook, a discount to your product or service etc…
Then set up your automation. The first is an automated email that sends instantly when the person subscribes, this will confirm that they got the product that captured their email address straight away.
Then, the email communication follows this. It is up to you how often you want to touch base with those people but what you want to do is give value. You don’t want to sell to them at every touch point but just teach them, about your products and services, inform them how awesome you are and why they should trust you as a business owner.
Once you have 100 people on your email list you can start to share marketing adverts on Facebook. They say that 22% of people are more likely to take action after seeing a Facebook advert and an email. Use this to your advantage and link your latest newsletter to an advert and drive more clicks than ever before.
